Similar to Fortnite, you can choose to play with friends or be matched randomly to other players. Apex Legends is perfect for fans of Fortnite, given the similar battle royale vibe. Players can choose from one of over 10 characters, known as “Legends," though the same player can’t be used more than once within the same squad. Whichever team is last standing wins the round. This also results in a musical chairs sort of fight to the death, as space and resources become even more limited. As the play area decreases over time, players must move continuously and be careful not to be found outside of the area, which can result in death. You’re immediately tasked with searching for weapons, ammunition, and supplies, which you are then required to use to defeat all the other players in combat. The game begins with your squad landing on an island.
